The sunnahs of the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon him) reach, as well as escape from, every one of us. So whenever I voice my opinion, or formulate a principle, where something contrary to my view exists on the authority of the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon him), then the correct view is what the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon him) has said, and it is my view.

I thought I’d enjoy doing a podcast but I just don’t have the time and don’t have that much to say without being repetitive. So I’m closing it down. Site will stay up until the web hosting subscription ends.
If this is true and this was actually said and isn’t just a fabrication on Facebook, how refreshing it is to see a leader that doesn’t apologize for the Deen and isn’t backing down due to international pressure.
I’m not saying Brunei is perfect or even legitimate Darul-Islam but ma sha Allah, what a difference between this and the sellout coconut scholars like Kufti Menk and Suhaib Webb that endorse homosexuality.

The core principle of Democracy is that the people govern themselves by coming up with their own laws and then voting on them, and then the laws with the majority of votes go into effect. This system is based on man’s misguided desires and upon the majority decision:
“And if you obey most of those on earth, they will mislead you far away from Allah’s Path. They follow nothing but conjectures, and they do nothing but lie.”http://legacy.quran.com/6/116
Democracy takes Allah’s right to legislate, which He has alone as He is the only Creator and the only Lord and thus the only One Who decides halaal and haraam (i.e. the principle of Tawheed al-Haakimiyyah), and instead gives it to man. This is clear cut kufr and shirk, and to willingly participate in this system by voting is an act of shirk. The political climate is irrelevant and makes no difference.
Democracy is a system of the people, by the people, for the people. Islam is the system of Allah, by Allah, for Allah. The two can never intermix or be compatible with each other.

There is ample evidence regarding this issue provided below, and there was absolutely no difference of opinion amongst the Salaf as-Saliheen about this issue. This issue has only arisen in our current times of confusion, fitnah, and the misguided and wicked “scholars” of our times. May Allah grant us Ikhlas, and understanding, and guide us to what pleases Him, ameen.

Nationalism: American or Otherwise
As for those who want to unite under the American flag (or the flags of any other kafir nation), or wear American flag hijabs, this is nothing more than a call to asibiyyah (nationalism) and jahiliyyah (the pre-Islamic time of ignorance). And how can you promote or wear the flag of a nation that bombs and kills Muslims on a daily basis, and has been doing so for years?

Beware of the Western so-called “Scholars” and “Da’iees”!
Beware of most of the wicked “scholars”, speakers, and Da’iees of today, particularly from the West. They are only mouthpieces for the Taghut and nothing more. They teach “modernized Western Islam”, not the Islam that was taught by the Prophet (peace be upon him) and that was understood by by the Sahabah and the Salaf as-Saliheen. They are themselves misguided and so they misguide others. Stay away from them and guard your Deen!
